After a little break...

3 1/2 months since the last blog post... oops! Sorry!

I guess I got out of the habit of posting for some reason. I'm not entirely sure what, but suffice to say I did continue to Wargame, model, take photos and post them on Facebook, just not on here! So time to make up for the long break with a summary of what happened in that long period of silence.

First up was the large Kings of War game we ran at the Hammerhead show near Newark. This was 14ft by 6ft and had the same models as seen at the Vapnartak show, however this time we had the addition of large force of Twilight Kin and even more of my goody-two-shoes Elves.

After this I was soon off on Holiday to Florida and Disneyland... not much wargaming occurred there, though I did sculpt a water elemental with the intention of getting it cast up... though there has been no progress with that since as I've gone back to painting Elves. In fact Elves is what I've been painting for most of the 3 1/2 months, with a few breaks for things such as my Dreadball Rebs team (and a few extras)...

... and this rather good MDF Anglo-Saxon Church from Timeline Miniatures...

I've modified it so the roofs all come off to allow access to the internals.

This will probably mostly be used with Lion Rampant for now, but since the actual Church it's based on was built somewhere between 700 and 1000 AD and is still standing I expect it could get a lot of use. Not bad for £16!

When I was't painting or being on holiday (which happened again a few weeks ago) I managed to get quite a few play-test games in of Kings of War 2. I think my reports and comments have been taken into account and the new ruleset is looking very good indeed. The final rules aren't out quite yet, but the last beta version can be found here: Mantic Forum.

However with that out of the way and the holidays now finished I'm back on track. I have two projects on going at the moment, both new, but for games I already play. However I'll leave the details of those for some other posts!
